Hailing from Rome, Panoram—the alias of Raffaele Martirani—dropped his bold album Great Times last year on Balmat, further shaping his legacy as an IDM innovator. With over a million streams and endorsements from Pitchfork, Mixmag, and The Vinyl Factory, his unconventional sound has reverberated across RTÉ 2FM, SBS Chill, and NPR Music. From sharing stages with Kraftwerk and Gold Panda at Sònar Festival to performing at Roskilde, Primavera Sound, and Koko in London with Amen Dunes, Panoram’s reach is vast. His earlier work, Pianosequenza Vol.1, even earned a spot on a Thom Yorke-curated Sonos playlist.

‘Cameos’, the album’s title track, is a spellbinding collage of airy synths, fragmented vocal hums, and a delicate keyboard thread that pulls you into its orbit. Echoing the experimental flair of Aphex Twin or Susumu Yokota, it dances between playful chaos and serene introspection, with sounds that flicker like passing shadows. This track showcases Panoram’s knack for crafting immersive, genre-defying music that feels alive and unpredictable.

Panoram shared: “The whole song is all about the idea of a cameo. All sounds appearing and disappearing quickly. I imagined children jumping out of their seats shouting vocal tones and flutes played by people walking by.” This vivid concept of fleeting, joyful bursts defines the track’s essence, offering listeners a fleeting glimpse into Panoram’s boundless creativity.
