Brussels-based ambient producer LB Marszalek announces his new EP ‘Homeostatic Loops’, to be released on June 3rd on City Tracks.
LB Marszalek is an experimental ambient musician and a sound artist, born and raised in West Southern France, and currently based in Brussels. Inspired by modern societies and nature, he creates dense story-worlds through layered soundscapes and field recordings from his daily life. Resident of Brussels-based Kiosk Radio and Movement Radio in Athens, he invites international guests to share the desk in the frame of quiet and deep musical evenings. LB Marszalek is also the founder of Safe Ground Recordings, a record label with which he releases compilations starring renowned ambient producers for social purpose. His last effort, “Homeostatic Loops”, to be released on City Tracks, is a 3-pieces ambient composition where noisy synth waves intersect with bells and cat purrs.
The EP – his most personal work so far – consists in 3 tracks made of ambient pad waves mixed to abstract field recordings and analog sounds. It refers to the process of homeostasis and creates a soundscape where everything is a search for musical, emotional and mental balance, through loops, tiny variations and sounds from the everyday, even the intimate.
